Titles Information

Each state has its own rules regarding Vehicle Titles. Make sure you understand the issues related to the title of the vehicle you are interested for before buying it, most of all if the vehicle does not have a clean title.

Some of the most common titles are:

• Clean Title

  Or Clear Title is assigned to a vehicles with no previuos salvage notations. Please note that some clean titles may have a salvage history. These titles are transferibles and can be registered in any state.

• Rebuilt Title

  Its a vehicle that has had a Salvage Title, has been repaired and then put through an inspection by the DMV. Usually transferable in any state but contact you local DMV for more information.

• Salvage Title

  Wreck car, has to be repair to original condition and put through an inspection by your local DMV to get a rebuilt title. Each state has its own requirements so check with your state's DMV for details.

• Certificate of Destruction

  Parts only, cannot be registered in any state. Some states call them Unrebuildable Salvage or Junk Title. This vehicle has been declared a total loss resulting of a collision, fire, theft, flood or other occurrence and cannot be repair. These vehicles are often listed as export only.

• Bill of Sale

  The vehicle cannot be repair nor has title. Vehicles possessing a Bill of Sale cannot be exported.
